WHEN MACHINE FILLING GABIONS, SHUTTERING FORMWORK PREVENTS IMPACT DAMAGE FROM FALLING ROCKS.
The force from a 40lb to 50lb rock dropped from 3 feet, has enough impact to cause damage to the gabion wire structure., these heavier rocks should either be hand placed or shuttering form work installed to absorb the impact.
Shuttering minimizes damage by machine filling and produces better looking walls
Panel Protection
Shuttering is 2″ taller than wire to protect top gabion panel
Bracewire Support
Gabion held in place by bracewire attached to the 2″ x 4″ frames
Rock Placement
Digger carefully places rocks inside gabion, and larger rocks are positioned by hand for looks and to avoid impact damage
Gabion Kitsets
Gabion1 only supply the kitset flat packed gabions
Gabion Formwork
Gabion1 only supply the kitset flat packed gabions
Rock Supply
You will need to supply your own rocks, .

We recommend using the heavier 5ga or 4 ga welded mesh for fences and gabion walls that will be sat or walked on,
